Other Veterans Treatment Courts
Immediately following the launch of the Buffalo Veterans Treatment Court in January 2008, Judge Russell and his team were inundated by requests from other treatment court professionals who were experiencing similar increases in cases involving veterans.
The low-cost, results-driven model of the Buffalo Veterans Treatment Court is being replicated across the country. Today, there are 62 veteran treatment courts across the U.S. (blue shaded states below), and additional courts are currently in planning phases.
