Arizona Veterans Treatment Courts

The Arizona Veterans Treatment Court offers alternatives to honorably-discharged Veterans who are charged with non-violent felonies or misdemeanors. Our mission is to help Veterans recover and assimilate into society, connect with Veteran Organizations and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.

We operate out of the Office of Public Defender and we cooperate with Court Administration, the Arizona Attorney’s Office, private attorneys, the local Sheriff’s Office, the U.S. Dept of Veterans Affairs and numerous community partners.

Arizona’s Veterans Court is a collaborative process that includes the prosecutor, defense counsel, Judge, and sometimes the federal or local state’s Department of Veteran Affairs and other community-based support organizations. The goal of the Veterans Court is to rehabilitate and restore veterans as active, contributing members of their community.
